godaften fra Danmark

good evening to you all, I am glad to see this site come alive, I have also arrived safely in Copenhagen. I didn't have the luggage problem since I arrived by car, but I wonder whether Dexia will also pay for parking tickets ;-) . My first night I already got a ticket worth 71 € for... parking within 10 meters of the corner of the street. In Belgium the rule is 5 meters at most, how am I supposed to know Copen hagen has a local city reglementation extending the normal 5 meters to 10 ... . I know one thing for sure, I am not going to try to extend the speed limit.
Anyway, I have parked the car a bit futher away now, and I have asked the hotel manager whether it is legal to park there. He confirmed, so the next ticket will be his to pay :-).

My appartment is within a 15 minutes walk of the little mermaid, and within 10 minutes walk of the Bank. So that is quite handy.
It only takes a lot of concentration to be talking danish all the time, especialy since my collegues have taken it upon them not to talk english to me so that I will leave as a perfect danish speaker
Hereunder some photographs I took after work...
